This collection seriously gave me life! The patterns are to die for. Pastel pinks and yellows, powdery blues, mirrored sequins and elaborate embroidery – exquisite. I love the carefree feel of the collection, even the structured pink blazer managed to become relaxed. The theme of the show was Havana, which I can see through the colour palette used, and floaty silhouettes. – I mean, I guess I can envision some of these ladies elegantly (and super stylishly) glancing at books at a bookstall on the colourful streets of Havana?
I simply cannot choose a favourite look from this collection, there are too many that I absolutely adore. The collection was romantic, pretty and feminine but also oozed charm and confidence. That crisp-white tie front, flounced shoulder crop top paired with the intricately embroidered, pastel green and pink maxi skirt is so beautiful and couldn’t be more perfect for a stylish summer day.
There was also some highly decorative and floral laser-cut out work, too. The significance of the buttoned down dresses, casual hats and tie up flat sandals really transformed this collection into something that was so at ease but very eclectic nonetheless.
The pink and black sheer embroidered crop top with matching skinny neck scarf and suede pink shorts is definitely one of my favourite looks along with the clean white fluid sundress, with again matching scarf. Sundresses have never been so beautifully detailed, have they?
Wish me luck when I come around to buying sundresses, as all I will have in my head is these ones. Sigh. I am also obsessed with those tassel-end scarves – probably my favourite item in the collection – need them all, please.
Such an innovative collection, and I sense a lot of floral for SS16. I’m excited to see more of Temperley London.
