Valentine’s Day has to be one of my favourite days of the year! If there is any excuse for pretty flowers and cute cupcakes, I’m happy! I had the loveliest valentines weekend with my wonderful boyfriend and little sisters❤️
I obviously had to wear red for valentines and ‘ruby woo’ red lips with a red velvet choker that was obligatory, too! I wore black leather trousers with a red lace-up bodysuit, paired with oxblood red pointed courts. I usually have to match the colour of my bag to the colour of my shoes otherwise it gives me anxiety (I know, its pathetic.) but this time I went for different shades of red – so wild.
We went to The Vincent restaurant which was lovely, then onto Jenny’s bar for drinks. The food at The Vincent was divine but I made the common mistake of allowing myself to get too full for desert – which is my favourite part of the meal! Luckily, I had the cutest and most delicious cupcakes to indulge in the next day, which definitely made up for missing out!🍰
I would absolutely recommend the chargrilled focaccia bread with dipping oil as the flavour is incredible! I also had the crispy chicken with celeriac remoulade and winter truffle followed by the utterly divine superfood chopped salad with avocado, mixed quinoa, edamame, kale and carrot and chicken breast. It was so fresh and bursting with flavour and I genuinely can’t stop thinking about it.
I will definitely be returning but of course making sure I don’t go overboard so I can try out one of the lovely deserts, too – I will not miss out next time!
Just to share some more Valentines cuteness… Myself and Gary went for lunch on actual Valentine’s Day and I overheard a young boy on the table next to us say… “Nan, I just love Valentine’s Day because everybody loves each other.” How adorable!?
