The pros of having a boyfriend who is definite foodie – doesn’t mind driving all the way to Alderley Edge for food on his own birthday. Either that or he hated the thought of having to endure 50 long minutes of my driving. I wasn’t complaining though, more cocktails for me.
We went to Yu Alderly Edge and it is honestly one of the best restaurants I’ve been too. The stir fried king prawns with baby asparagus was literally amazing. Those crispy duck rolls and slow cooked belly pork served with kin doe sauce was also incredible. Still dreaming of those prawns – wow. Oh, and the peanut butter parfait desert was just delightful.
Alderley Edge is such a beautiful place, too. It was so pleasant and quiet – definitely going to go back in summer as there are apparently, a few more amazing restaurants there.
I wore a salmon pyjama style satin relaxed blouse (testing the pyjama trend out), black leather skinny trousers, navy blue scaled pointed courts, suede blue mini bag and a striped satin neck tie. Strong believer that a neck-tie can transform your outfit from boring to fun! They also help infuse colours together nicely.
