Is there anything better than a chilled Sunday, eating brunch at a new cafe you’ve been dying to try, and later playing with 7 adorable puppies? If you don’t already know, Love Thy Neighbour is an organic cafe and bar located on Bold Street, serving delicious juices packed full of raw goodness and a mixture of very flavoursome small plates.
The cool blush and white colour scheme is really inviting (and cute) – I also loved the green vines draped from the ceiling, with contemporary sphere lighting fixtures. (Not entirely sure why, but the floor to ceiling glass and natural plants kinda reminds me of The OA??) Well, with the artwork and food aside of course. More importantly, the food is deliciously fresh and full of flavour! Those pancakes with greek yoghurt, blueberries and agave syrup was the best pancakes I’ve ever had, I’m craving them now!
I also had the chickpea pancakes with sweet potato and halloumi which was incredibly tasty. Every time I eat halloumi cheese I become more obsessed. The three ‘cali toast’ we chose was the black pudding, spinach and confit cherry tomatoes (my fave), crispy chorizo and fried egg and the smashed avocado and boiled egg. (Yes – the egg was boiled to perfection!) Oh, and I had the apple, pineapple and spinach pick me up smoothie – lovely.Love Thy Neighbour reminds me a tiny bit of the food I had in Bali as Bali is all about organic vegan/ veggie healthy foods, and clean living in general. Superfood smoothie bowls and nutritious organic juices are everywhere you turn. I guess I’ll have to visit this wonderful cafe again and pretend I’m back in Bali. Also can’t wait to try out the cocktails.Wide sleeved jumper – H&M (Trend)
