AW17: The Bag Edit

img_0671I’ve already fallen in love with so many bags that have graced the AW17 runways so far, and I can’t wait to see what fabulous accessories Milan and Paris has to offer. Anyone who knows me knows I am completely obsessed with bags (literally). Especially when they’re mini and cute.Β I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, accessories (and in this case, bags) really do make your outfit more interesting and add a dose of fun.

AW17 has displayed some of the most playful and adorable bags, ever. I need them all. For me, the ‘mini bag’ might just be the best thing that has happened. I honestly don’t think I’ll ever fall out of love with them. Even if they don’t fit everything in, they’re super cute nonetheless.

I mean, there’s always the double-bag trend that could also be tested – a mini cross-body bag and a mini handled tote, perhaps? Double the lipstick space and double the cuteness. Still obsessing over those double-bag layered looks in Fendi’s wonderful Pre-Fall 2017 collection and Dolce & Gabbana’s SS17 collection. Oh, and of course those layered tiny Fendi bags donned by the likes of Chiara Ferragni, too. If only I had her bag collection!img_0672img_0673img_0676My favourite AW17 bags so far include the variety of charming leather mini bags with dainty floral and quirky detailing in Coach 1941’s mash up of both country and city influences. (Also adore that beautifully crafted burnt orange jacket with the large leather tassel zip and floral 3d pattern).img_0680img_0682img_0683img_0684img_0718Another few favourites are those mini cross-body bags with chunky chains in Jason Wu’s collection, Alexander Wang’s crystal embellished and metal loop trimmed bags, and of course Shrimp’s all pearl mini bags (obviously🐚).

As always, I also loved Sophia Webster’s fanciful collection of frosty slogan bags (as well as those whimsical glittering platform heels with embellishment reminiscent of icicles!).img_0691img_0687img_0686Sophia Webster FW17The mini circle bag that was embellished with mermaid-toned sequins shown in the Delpozo show was very cute (and those pointed buckled shoes were divine), along with those structured mini bags which came in a variety of textures in the Oscar De La Renta show. LOVE!img_0619img_0618img_0670img_0667img_0669What collection has showcased your favourite bags?
