Super cute blush tones and pops of baby blue. This collection so makes me want to be strolling around the streets of Paris wearing a soft colour-blocked outfit, a chic overcoat with a pair of pretty mules. And a pair of cat-eye sunglasses, of course.
Let’s not forget the dose of teal that was added into the colour palette, it sharpened the collection up in contrast to the softer colours, along with the use of black and some structured gingham tailoring – love how the rounded shoulders created a less restricted look.
Those golden studs that sat at the end of drawstrings on skirts and dresses, and even placed very elegantly atop of slight pleats created a gathered look that was completely charming, adding the perfect amount of detail to the already super feminine looks.
Full of refined looks for both day and night, my fave has to be the baby blue fluid long sleeved dress with cinched in waist layered over a glittering blue turtle neck. As for those matching suede blue gathered in mules and mini bag – cuteness overload. What a chic outfit for a spot of lunch, maybe without the tights, though. They should have perhaps never left the 60s!
I definitely preferred the monochromatic looks out of the collection, I mean, that blush gathered long sleeved midi with split and patent leather mules – now that’s what I’d call pretty in pink. Thanks to Carven, I now need a glittered blush-pink turtle neck with fluted cuffs to wear under a pink over coat, embellished with gold studs, of course (or pearls). Oh, and a trip to Paris.
What a beautiful, classy collection!
