Try The Trends: Fashion Week Street Style

IMG_6478.PNGSo, the extravaganza that is Fashion Month SS18 is almost over, and thanks to the impeccable streets of New York, London, Milan, and Paris we’ve been hit with sartorial key trends to covet for Autumn 2017.

From easy tailoring (the checked blazer is absolutely everywhere), and slouchy cut-out knits, through to the revival of the bum-bag. – We’re spoilt with plenty of A/W wardrobe inspiration.

Oh, and if you think colour-blocking is out, think again. It’s all about being colour confident in rich autumn hues or pastel shades whether it be a sleek monochromatic or a bold mixed-colour approach. But let’s not forget about print, think dark floral everything – the streets are literally saturated with blooms.

Street style isn’t shy of the whole ‘more is more’ concept, either and I’m totally obsessed with the influx of boxy, oversized tailoring giving off a feminine meets masculine vibe.

Meanwhile, playing with texture, clashing colour and an ultra-cool update on 90s layering is proving popular, too.

Shop some key trends for A/W 17 here:

The Blazer

Whether it’s pinstriped, plaid, floral, tweed or cord (who else senses a 70s corduroy resurgence?!), embrace Autumn’s ‘everything goes’ feel by making the blazer your staple for AW17. Wear 1, or even 2 belts layered atop for more of a statement, or go up a size or two for that oversized look.IMG_65271. Mango

The Belt-Bag

So the bum-bag is back (now rebranded as the ‘belt-bag’), but now a little more chic. I’m not completely loving the trend as of yet, perhaps once we’re hit with more choice I might be swayed!IMG_65291. Zara
