image.jpegThis collection seriously gave me life! The patterns are to die for. Pastel pinks and yellows, powdery blues, mirrored sequins and elaborate embroidery – exquisite. I love the carefree feel of the collection, even the structured pink blazer managed to become relaxed. The theme of the show was Havana, which I can see through the colour palette used, and floaty silhouettes. – I mean, I guess I can envision some of these ladies elegantly (and super stylishly) glancing at books at a bookstall on the colourful streets of Havana? Rodarte’s glam-rock SS16

image.jpegI LOVED everything about Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s collection. Creative, feminine, romantic and magical. That is how I would describe Rodarte’s SS16 collection. I love how the powerful duo managed to create something quite futuristic, yet artfully projected enchanting vintage disco feels, too. A slightly updated, and possibly more shimmering wardrobe belonging to Stevie Nicks, perhaps? Continue reading

imagePaint the town rose – one of the cute little slogans on one of the most whimsical bags you’ve ever seen. What better way to bring in spring than to make the presentation space a dreamy land of flowers beyond flowers, 30,000 in fact. Colourful, fun and quirky – everything you know a Kate Spade presentation will be. The presentation was the colours of a perfect spring bouquet. Stand-out is an understatement. Continue reading

Dior Dreamin’

image.jpegFirst of all, this was one of my absolute favourite shows of the season. I seriously need those divine shoes. However, it does seem that most people are talking about the spectacular decorum of the 300,000 delphinium flowers, rather than the utterly brilliant collection itself. The venue was a delightful floral fantasy located within the magnificent Louvre, and what a perfect choice of flower to compliment the fresh and cool colour palette of the collection.  Continue reading
